NEET Cut Off 2022 Out

The NEET 2022 result has been declared on September 7. The qualifying NEET cutoff marks 2022 has also been declared on the same day. As compared to last year, the NEET cutoff 2022 has been lowered. The highest marks obtained in the exam is 715, which has been scored by four candidates ranked from 1 to 4. Tanishka from Rajasthan has secured AIR 1 followed by Vatsa Ashish Batra from Delhi (AIR 2) and Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule from Karnataka has got AIR 3. Out of 18,72,343 applicants, 17,64,571 candidates appeared for the test and 99,3069 have qualified for NEET 2022. The NEET 2022 final answer key has been released on September 8 in PDF format for the question papers of the original exam day (July 17) and retest (September 4).

As per the data released by the Ministry of Education, Jaipur saw the largest number of test-takers, which was 52,351. On the other hand, the lowest number of candidates appeared in West Sikkim, which was 105. Dubai had the highest number of NEET candidates from the category of ‘Candidates Outside India’. The number stood at 646. On the other hand, Bangkok, Thailand saw the lowest turnout in the international cities where NEET 2022 was conducted, with six candidates appearing for the test. Around 95 per cent of the total registered candidates have appeared for the exam. A number of candidates complained of mismanagement at the exam centre in terms of interchange of question papers, inappropriate frisking and security check measures, to name a few, leading them to conduct a retest. NTA took action against some of the exam centre authorities after creating an Investigation Committee. The possibility of a retest is bleak.

NEET 2022 Counselling Process

After the declaration of the result, the NEET 2022 counselling process will be conducted within a month of declaring the result. The counselling will be conducted for 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85 per cent State Quota seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the AIQ counselling process and the respective state authorities will conduct the State Counselling for NEET 2022. There will be four rounds of counselling, Round 1, Round 2, mop-up round and stray-vacancy round. Upon the release of the NEET 2022 counselling notification, qualified candidates will have to register by filling up the form, uploading the necessary documents and paying the registration fee. The next step is the choice filling and locking. Once the seat allocation order is released, candidates will have to download it and report to the institute and complete the admission formalities to claim the seat. They may not accept the seat in the first round and participate in the second round for upgrading their seat. In case candidates are not allotted a seat in both rounds, they will be eligible to participate in the mop-up and stray-vacancy rounds.
